On March 11th, 1965, A B-57 Bomber was shot down in South Vietnam; Lt. Col. Richard D. Smith was listed as “Missing in Action”. In 1994, his remains were recovered, not far from the crash site.

Richard Smith is my father and I was only 4-years old when he disappeared. My Mother, along with my grandmother Pat, raised my bother, sister and I. I’m very lucky to have the parents and grandparents I have. The sacrifices that my father made, to protect his family and country, were equal to those made by my mother.
